Zusammenfassung

Prysmian Group in Kentucky is seeking an engineering professional to prepare designs for new and enhanced cables, assess plant capabilities, and coordinate with R&D and labs for qualification and approvals. The role includes developing costed designs, reviewing specifications, and maintaining material and process documentation.

The candidate should have a BS in Engineering or Polymer/Materials Science, with preferred experience in industrial engineering and polymer processing.

Qualifikationen

• BS degree in Engineering, Polymer or Materials Science.
• Experience in industrial or application engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of polymer processing preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare product development designs for new or enhanced products.
• Assess plant capabilities related to new product development.
• Prepare recommended sample/test plans for manufacturing qualification, internal test labs and third-party approval agencies.
• Responsible for third party (UL, ETL, CSA, ISO, etc.) submittals and final approvals adopting the widest range of approval.
• Develop DTC plans with R&D support and implement to meet plan.
• Prepare design documentation for factory level experimental trials/product development concerning new compound implementation and related cable products.
• Participate in factory level experimental trials concerning new products and compound implementation.
• Maintain and measure monthly new product development sales and DTC savings.
• Maintain strong operating knowledge of industry standards and certifications (UL, CSA, etc.).
• Coordinate with Materials Development Laboratories to ensure all new materials are approved.
• Conduct/maintain product design reviews and audits to meet product qualification.
• Create/maintain product designs and costs, and general product descriptions/drawings.
• Review customer/industry specifications to determine facility capability to meet requirements.
• Use design tools to create BOMs and routings for manufacturing.
