Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect is seeking a Cable Operator for the 3rd shift (12:00 am - 8:00 am) in Dayville, CT. You will run multiple cable lines, perform cable testing, and uphold strict safety and quality standards while maintaining a clean workspace.

Required are 2+ years in manufacturing and strong mechanical aptitude, with micrometer proficiency. ITAR requirements apply; U.S. person status is needed. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Summary:

(12:00 am - 8:00 am) Key duties include running multiple cable lines, conducting required cable testing, upholding departmental safety protocols, and maintaining clean work spaces. Additionally, flexibility is expected to support other cable lines, assist with general shop floor operations, and undertake further assignments directed by management.

Leadership & Core Responsibilities:

• Core responsibilities include operating cable machinery efficiently at required speeds, managing machine setup, and ensuring all output strictly complies with specified tolerances
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and operate multiple machines

Position Requirements:

• Capable of running multiple cable machines while maintaining product specifications within strict tolerances
• Proficient in using a micrometer
• Knowledgeable with in-process testing procedures for manufacturing
• Excellent time management skills to meet production demands efficiently

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma preferred
• 2+ years manufacturing experience
• U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR requirements

• Core Competencies: Operating multiple machines efficiently; producing items consistently within designated tolerance limits
