Prince Telecom is hiring entry-level Cable Installation Technicians in Plainfield, IL, to join our team and help connect America!

Compensation: $17/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Resolve, repair, and install cable TV, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment following guidelines.
• Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers, and switches.
• Analyze and record test results within prescribed parameters by performing testing on company-issued devices and customer devices.
• Interface with customers to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Drive a company vehicle between home/office, warehouse, and work sites safely and courteously.
• Maintain a clean and stocked vehicle with equipment to perform duties.
• Complete paperwork accurately, reporting and recording all work order status updates.

Customer Service Duties

• Greet and interact with customers professionally, including responding to escalations and concerns.
• Review requested services with customers to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate customers on product and service usage.

Minimum Requirements

• You are at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces like crawl spaces or attics.
• Experience working in inclement weather.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willing to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
