Prince Telecom is hiring entry-level Cable Installation Technicians in Plainfield, IL, to join our team and help connect America!

Compensation: $17/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

1. Resolve, repair, and install cable TV, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment following guidelines.
2. Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
3. Analyze and record test results within prescribed parameters by testing company-issued and customer devices.
4. Interface with customers to identify and resolve issues perceived by them.
5. Drive a company vehicle safely between various work sites.
6. Maintain a clean and stocked vehicle with necessary equipment.
7. Complete paperwork accurately and report work status updates.

Customer Service Duties

1. Greet and interact professionally with customers, including handling escalations.
2. Review requested services with customers to ensure understanding.
3. Educate customers on product and service usage.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience or comfort working in tight spaces and in various weather conditions
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends
• Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80 lbs
