Job summary

Checo Network Group LLC is seeking experienced 1099 Cable Installation Contractors to perform residential cable, internet, fiber, and drop-bury installations. Contractors will work in residential locations and must complete installations safely and professionally to company standards.

Responsibilities include installing services, testing signals, and documenting work. Must be able to lift heavy loads, have basic tools, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Experience in cable, broadband, telecommunications or fiber installation preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Must pass required background screening.
• Must have basic hand tools and telecommunications installation equipment.
• Ladder suitable for residential installation required.

Responsibilities

• Install residential cable and internet services.
• Install and troubleshoot coaxial and fiber connections.
• Perform new customer installations and service work.
• Install, replace, and configure cable equipment.
• Run and secure coaxial and fiber lines.
• Perform signal testing and troubleshooting.
• Complete drop-bury installations when assigned.
• Work from tap/pedestal to the customer’s residence.
• Drill, route, and secure cable through residential structures as needed.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Complete required job documentation and closeouts.
• Follow all safety procedures and installation standards.

About the Position

Checo Network Group LLC is looking for experienced and motivated 1099 Cable Installation Contractors to perform residential cable, internet, fiber, and drop-bury installations.

Contractors will work in residential customer locations and are responsible for completing installations safely, professionally, and according to customer and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Install residential cable and internet services
• Install and troubleshoot coaxial and fiber-optic connections
• Perform new customer installations and service work
• Install, replace, and configure cable equipment
• Run and secure coaxial/fiber lines
• Perform signal testing and troubleshooting
• Complete drop-bury installations when assigned
• Work from tap/pedestal to the customer’s residence
• Drill, route, and secure cable through residential structures when required
• Maintain a clean and professional work area
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Complete required job documentation and closeouts
• Follow all safety procedures and installation standards

Contractor Requirements

• Previous cable, broadband, telecommunications, or fiber installation experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass required background screening
• Ability to safely lift and carry at least 75 lbs
• Must have basic hand tools and telecommunications installation equipment
• Must have a ladder suitable for residential cable installation
• Vehicle requirements: White pickup truck, white minivan, white SUV, or utility van preferred for standard cable installation
• Vehicle equipped to safely transport a 28-foot extension ladder
• Drop-bury contractors may use other suitable vehicle colors/types
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Xfinity, Comcast, Spectrum, Cox, AT&T, Frontier, or similar telecommunications experience
• Experience with residential coaxial installation
• Fiber-optic installation experience
• Drop-bury experience
• Experience using an XM1/XM2 or similar signal meter
• Experience troubleshooting RF signal levels
• Experience with taps, splitters, amplifiers, and residential wiring
