Job summary

National Technologies (NTI) is a premier installer providing fiber optic and data center infrastructure services. A Cable Installer role is available in the United States, typically $22–$35 per hour, with training and onboarding provided.

You will work with a team to install equipment and cabling across multiple platforms, testing fiber and ensuring quality standards. Experience in cabling, OSHA-10 preferred, and ability to lift heavy equipment is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years field technical installation and cabling experience.
• 1+ years documenting technical jobs (JCR, SOW, etc.).
• OSHA-10 certification preferred.
• Confined space training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to complete cabling installation activities.
• Assist in equipment installation and ensure proper setup.
• OSP/ISP cable pulling experience.
• Support infrastructure installation tasks as part of project requirements.
• Perform testing of fiber optic cable to ensure functionality.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain compliance with standards and specifications.

The Cable Installer is a technician role that provides installation services across multiple platforms in support of head ends, hubs, and central offices. Technical responsibilities include working with a team to install various pieces of electronic gear and cabling systems to support our customers in the MSO, cable, telephone, data center and communications industry.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to complete cabling installation activities.

Job Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities

• Proficient in working with fiber and proper installation techniques.
• Ability to use basic PC and mobile applications for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, processes, and responsibilities.
• Take initiative by identifying tasks that need to be completed and proactively offering support.

Education and Experience

• 1+ years field technical installation and cabling experience
• 1+ years working documentation on technical jobs (JCR, SOW, etc.)
• OSHA-10 certification preferred
• Confined space training preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 100lbs
• Must be able to pass drug screening
