Responsibilities include cabling, equipment setup, fiber testing, and QA to meet industry standards. OSHA-10 and confined space training are valued; lifting up to 100 lbs and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• 1+ years field technical installation and cabling experience.
• 1+ years documenting technical projects (JCR, SOW, etc.).
• OSHA-10 certification preferred.
• Confined space training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to complete cabling installation activities.
• Assist in equipment installation and ensure proper setup.
• OSP/ISP cable pulling experience.
• Support infra installation tasks per project requirements.
• Test fiber optic cable to verify functionality.
• Conduct QA checks to ensure standards compliance.

$22 - $35 an hour

The Cable Installer is a technician role that provides installation services across multiple platforms in support of head ends, hubs, and central offices. Technical responsibilities include working with a team to install various pieces of electronic gear and cabling systems to support our customers in the MSO, cable, telephone, data center and communications industry.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to complete cabling installation activities.
• Assist in equipment installation and ensure proper setup.
• OSP/ISP cable pulling experience
• Support infrastructure installation tasks as part of project requirements.
• Perform testing of fiber optic cable to ensure functionality.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain compliance with standards and specifications.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities

• Proficient in working with fiber and proper installation techniques.
• Ability to use basic PC and mobile applications for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, processes, and responsibilities.
• Take initiative by identifying tasks that need to be completed and proactively offering support.

Education And Experience

1+ years field technical installation and cabling experience

1+ years working documentation on technical jobs (JCR, SOW, etc.)

OSHA-10 certification preferred

Confined space training preferred

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 100lbs

Must be able to pass drug screening
