Job summary

SQA Services in Southern California is seeking a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector to support on-site at client suppliers in the LA and OC areas. This full-time, first-shift role offers flexible scheduling (4–5 days per week on an as-needed basis) for candidates with a passion for cable harnesses and a sharp eye for quality.

You will perform inspections, verify drawings, and ensure conformance to IPC-A-620 and IPC-A-610 standards, while documenting Certificates of Conformance and supporting lean

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
• Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620 or IPC-A-610
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods; LEAN manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at client suppliers
• Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
• Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
• Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
• Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
• Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
