Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking a Cable Harness Assembler in Orlando, FL to build and assemble cable and wire harnesses per wiring diagrams and specifications. The role involves soldering, crimping, connector assembly, and quality checks to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 standards, with a focus on hands-on assembly and teamwork for long-term opportunities.

Eligible candidates should have 1+ years of manufacturing assembly experience, reading blueprints, and familiarity with harness prints.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of manufacturing assembly experience required.
  • Previous cable harness or wire harness assembly experience required.
  • Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and wire harness prints.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, and connector assembly.
  • Experience working to IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 Class 3 workmanship standards.
  • IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 training or current certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship preferred.
  • J‑STD‑001 certification preferred.
  • IPC‑A‑610 experience preferred for higher-level candidates.
  • Ability to perform continuity checks and identify assembly defects.

Responsibilities

  • Build cable and wire harnesses according to wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and written instructions.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, and connector assembly.
  • Plug contacts into connectors and torque backshells according to specifications.
  • Form wires and harnesses using appropriate boards, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly of electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies.
  • Assemble modules, boards, panels, frames, drawers, cables, and related components.
  • Use hand and power tools, jigs, saws, and other assembly equipment.
  • Perform continuity checks on work-in-process and completed assemblies.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure assemblies meet established specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble components as needed.
  • Test assemblies and subassemblies according to established specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues and perform necessary rework.
  • Follow quality, safety, and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and production goals.

The Panther Group is seeking Cable Harness Assemblers for a long‑term opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Orlando, FL. We have openings at two experience levels, offering $21–$24/hour depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Cable Harness Assembler will build and assemble cable and wire harnesses according to wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and written work instructions. This position involves hands‑on assembly, soldering, crimping, connector assembly, and quality inspection while following IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 Class 3 workmanship standards.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.
  • U.S. Person/U.S. Citizen verification required.
  • Vision/medical testing may be required.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Orlando, FL.
