Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Cable Assembler in Orlando, FL to build cable harnesses to wiring diagrams, perform soldering, crimping, and connector installations.

The role requires following Class 3 IPC standards and reading schematics, with 1-3 years of assembly experience and WHMA-A-620/J-STD-001 certifications. The position is a 6-month engagement with a pay range of $17–$21 per hour (W2).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Manufacturing Assembly Experience.
• Completed WHMA-A-620 training or a current WHMA-A-620 Certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship.
• J-STD-001 Certification.
• Ability to read from wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cables to wiring diagrams and harnesses, including soldering, crimping, and connecting contacts.
• Lay out parts and subassemblies from diagrams and drawings, using hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Perform quality checks on in-process and finished work according to specifications.

Job Description

Cable Harness Assembler - build cable/harness to wiring diagram, form boards, soldering, crimping, plugging contacts into connectors, torquing backshells while working to Class 3 IPC standards. Written instructions given by mechanical engineering but also need to read from drawing schematics.

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.

Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
