Job summary

Chipton-Ross Inc. is seeking a Cable Assembler in Orlando, FL for a contract role. You will perform production assembly on electronic and mechanical components, follow diagrams, use hand and power tools, and inspect workmanship.

The role requires 1-3 years of assembly experience, WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certifications, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement. This is a full-time, first-shift position with a 4/10 schedule.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Manufacturing Assembly Experience.
• WHMA-A-620 training or current WHMA-A-620 Certification with Class 3 workmanship.
• J-STD-001 Certification.
• Continuous Improvement Mindset.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
