Job summary

Closets by Design is seeking a detail-oriented Cabinet CAD Drafter proficient in Cabinet Vision to join our team. You will review designers' drawings for discrepancies and create production-ready CAD documents that meet contractual specs.

Responsibilities include converting drawings to 2D/3D designs, creating cut-lists for production, and collaborating with designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure smooth handoff from design to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAD Drafter, preferably in cabinetry or woodworking.
• Proficiency in Cabinet Vision software is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Cabinet Vision software to create detailed CAD drawings for cabinetry projects.
• Review designers' drawings to identify discrepancies and rectify errors.
• Ensure final designs align with contractual requirements and client expectations.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams to transition from design to production.
• Prepare comprehensive production-ready drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
• Conduct quality control checks to verify CAD drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized records of CAD drawings and related documentation.
• Communicate with designers and team members to resolve design or production issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and best practices in cabinetry drafting.
