Job summary

Barbosa Cabinets, Inc. in California seeks an experienced production leader to oversee cabinet manufacturing operations and drive improvements in safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.

You will supervise production teams, set performance standards, provide coaching, and coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering and Maintenance. A college degree or equivalent management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or experience equivalent.
• Knowledge of MS office software.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Knowledge of wood working products used in cabinet manufacturing (preferred).
• Experience with lean and continuous improvement (preferred).
• 4-10 years of experience in a management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process from start to finish.
• Monitor workflow and resolve disruptions.
• Supervise, motivate and provide feedback to production staff.
• Set performance standards for direct reports and provide feedback.
• Assist direct reports in HR activities including recruitment, evaluations, promotions, disciplinary action and terminations.
• Organize and lead training activities.
• Utilize lean tools to drive continuous improvement.
• Liaise with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering and Maintenance.
• Develop and utilize daily, weekly and monthly KPIs to monitor and report on performance.
