Job summary

Cullen Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our on-site cabinet shop. You will fabricate high-end custom cabinetry and millwork for luxury residential projects, from concept through installation, in collaboration with designers and project managers.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in cabinetmaking or fine carpentry, with training or apprenticeships in woodworking and a strong focus on precision, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of cabinetmaking, fine carpentry, or millwork experience.
  • Formal training, trade school, or apprenticeship in woodworking preferred.
  • Experience with custom, high-end cabinetry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture custom cabinets, built-ins, and millwork according to project specifications and shop drawings.
  • Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, assemble, finish, and install cabinetry components.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure design intent and quality standards.
  • Install cabinetry and millwork on project sites with proper fit, finish, and alignment.
  • Select and prepare wood, veneers, finishes, and hardware appropriate for each project.
  • Maintain shop equipment, tools, and workspace in safe condition.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure work meets luxury home quality expectations.
  • Assist with developing creative solutions to design or installation challenges.
  • Uphold safety standards and comply with local building codes and OSHA requirements.

Position

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team who is passionate about craftsmanship and takes pride in building exceptional, high-end custom cabinetry and millwork. This role offers the opportunity to work on luxury residential projects from concept through installation, primarily out of our on-site cabinet shop. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team to create refined, detail-driven pieces that elevate custom homes and renovations. Primary Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Advanced knowledge of woodworking techniques, cabinetry construction, and fine carpentry.
  2. Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery, hand tools, and finishing equipment.
  3. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
  4. High attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship in all phases of cabinetmaking.
  5. Ability to problem-solve and adapt designs to field conditions.
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  7. Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work independently or with a crew.

Experience Requirements
