Job summary

HD Cabinetry & Design is seeking a skilled cabinet maker to lead the manufacturing and assembly of custom cabinetry, interpreting design specs and preparing materials with precision.

You will read blueprints, operate power tools and CNC equipment, ensure quality, maintain tools, and collaborate with designers and carpenters to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of cabinetry, carpentry, or related experience.
• Proficiency with power tools (table saws, sanders, routers) and woodworking equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Cabinet Manufacturing & Assembly: build custom cabinetry from plans and specs.
• Material Preparation: measure, cut, and shape wood with precision.
• Quality Control: inspect pieces and adjust to meet standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: keep tools and CNC machinery in safe, working order.
• Team Collaboration: work with designers, PMs, and carpenters to meet deadlines.

As a Skilled Cabinet Maker at HD Cabinetry & Design, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing & assembly of custom cabinetry and other woodwork pieces. You will be responsible for interpreting design specifications, preparing and cutting materials, and ensuring the final product meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cabinet Manufacturing & Assembly: Construct custom cabinetry from raw materials, using detailed plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and shape wood and wood-based products with precision using saws, sanders, and other woodworking equipment.
• Quality Control: Inspect each piece for accuracy and quality, making adjustments and corrections as necessary to ensure alignment with company standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain woodworking tools, CNC machinery, and workspaces to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside designers, project managers, and other carpenters to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cabinetry, carpentry, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using power tools (e.g., table saws, sanders, routers), hand tools, and other woodworking equipment. Knowledge in CNC machinery preferred but not required.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and construction plans.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precision in cuts, fits, and finishes.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues during the production process and make adjustments as needed.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various workshop conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification: Certification in carpentry, cabinetry, or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of CNC Equipment: Experience with CNC machinery and CAD/CAM software is an advantage.
• Finishing Skills: Knowledge of wood finishing techniques, including staining, varnishing, and painting, is preferred.
