Cabinet Finisher Sr in GAC St. Louis

Unique Skills

Any shift; Up to 15% shift differential for employees who work non-standard hours. The compensation range for this role is $30.45 - $35.52 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 4 years experience in wood finishing processes. Advanced knowledge of cabinet finishing and aerospace industry experience preferred.

Position Purpose: Under general supervision, prepares, applies, and touches up finishes on aircraft furniture, following design and engineering drawings. Oversees projects, guides team members, and mentors junior technicians.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality repairs and finishes on aircraft furniture using spray equipment and manual methods.
• Interprets specifications to ensure compliance with design and engineering standards.
• Maintains safety, 5S, and cleanliness standards, and protects aircraft interiors.
• Mentors and trains less experienced technicians.
• Implements process improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools.
• Uses material tracking systems to manage parts and work status.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assumes lead responsibilities when needed, overseeing projects and delegating tasks.
• Conducts safety audits and maintains shop equipment.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and audits.

Other Requirements

• Knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in restricted spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
• Computer literacy required.
