Renew Medic by CLT is seeking a Lead Cabinet Finisher to join our growing team in Charlotte. You will restore and finish cabinets, ensuring high quality results and on-time project completion.

The role focuses on color matching, applying stains and paints, and working with cabinet finishing equipment while following safety protocols and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years finishing wood surfaces, cabinetry, or related trim carpentry.
• Ability to produce near-identical color matches of stains/paints.
• Knowledge of VOC laws and regulations.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Finish, paint, stain, sand and color match cabinetry and components.
• Operate cabinet finishing equipment and maintain spray booths.
• Field work on job sites for touch-ups and re-finishing.
• Maintain material inventories and safety standards.

Job description

We are seeking a Lead Cabinet Finisher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and finishing techniques, with a keen eye for detail and quality. This role involves restoring and finishing cabinets that have been damaged. The Cabinet Finisher will work closely with other team members to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Finish, paint, stain, clean, sand, color match and prepare cabinetry and components
• Color match damaged cabinets to their original pre-loss condition, using both stain and paint
• Utilize all cabinet finishing related equipment and machinery including spray booths, spray guns, paint, stain, brushes, sanders, dust collectors, power tools, etc.
• Occasionally perform work in the field on job sites doing cleaning, touch-ups, precision repairs, painting, and re-finishing
• Daily communication flow with technicians, builders and operations manager
• Familiarity with all safety protocols and procedures
• Keep inventory of materials needed for finishing cabinets
• Proper sanding of solid and veneered wood cabinet surfaces
• Identify wood species, colors, materials and grain patterns
• Proactive approach - identify problems and offer solutions

Requirements
