Job summary

West Wood Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Cabinet Designer to support builder and contractor accounts. You will design layouts, prepare quotes, and order cabinetry from manufactured lines as well as participate in custom West Wood projects.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects independently. Experience with stock or semi‑custom lines, Cabinet Vision/20/20, and ERP familiarity such as Innergy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of cabinet design experience.
• Proficiency in 20/20 Design or similar cabinet design software.
• Strong attention to detail in ordering, pricing and specifications.
• Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

• Design cabinet layouts for builder and contractor projects using manufactured cabinet lines and, when needed, custom West Wood cabinetry and millwork.
• Turn plan sets and buyer selections into accurate designs, quotes, and orders.
• Prepare proposals, pricing, and drawings for client review and approval.
• Place and verify orders with cabinet manufacturers, and track lead times, deliveries, and any back orders or damage claims.
• Develop repeatable design standards and option packages that can scale across communities, plans, and new clients.
• Log and track project details and progress.
• Coordinate with our drafting, production, and installation teams on custom work and installation schedules.
• Build long‑term relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and clients.

Since 1998, West Wood has designed, engineered, and built custom cabinetry and architectural millwork for the Gulf Coast luxury market. We build to AWI standards in our own manufacturing facility, and we also offer manufactured cabinet lines to give builders and contractors a full range of options.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Designer to support our builder and contractor accounts. Most of this role involves designing, quoting, and ordering cabinetry from our manufactured cabinet lines. You will also take part in custom West Wood projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects independently. Experience in outside sales or estimating is a strong plus. This is a salaried position, not commission-based.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design cabinet layouts for builder and contractor projects using manufactured cabinet lines and, when needed, custom West Wood cabinetry and millwork
• Turn plan sets and buyer selections into accurate designs, quotes, and orders

Preferred Experience:

• Experience designing and ordering from stock or semi‑custom cabinet lines
• Experience working with production homebuilders and general contractors
• Knowledge of Cabinet Vision or other custom cabinet engineering software
• Working knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, and finishes
• Experience with Innergy or a similar ERP/project management platform
