Job summary

JG Custom Cabinetry & Design in Neenah, WI is seeking a skilled carpenter to build cabinet components, sand, finish, and assemble cabinets. You will also support the shop as needed in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, communicates well, and is organized. Apprenticeship or equivalent experience is helpful though not mandatory.

• Completion of an apprenticeship or 1+ year experience preferred.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret floorplans, cabinet drawings and CAD drawings.
• Build cabinets, moldings, hardware doors, and related components.
• Assess woodwork quality and material adequacy.
• Operate woodworking tools and machinery.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Stand, climb, and lift heavy objects as needed.

About the Job:

We are looking to hire a skilled carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including Building Cabinet components, sanding, finishing, cutting lumber, assembly of cabinets. Other duties will include assisting the shop as needed.

A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, have a great attitude and have good communication and organizational skills. It is helpful but not necessary to have completed an apprenticeship in carpentry or have equivalent experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and interpret floorplans, cabinet drawings and CAD drawings.
• Building of cabinets, moldings, hardware doors, and other tasks as required.
• Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
• Ability to operate woodworking tools, machines, and other equipment.
• Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.

Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 1 year experience is helpful.
• Additional certification may be required.
• Good communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination.
• Knowledge of mathematics.
• Good Team player
