Job summary

Furniture Medic by CCB Ventures in Independence, MO is seeking skilled fabricators and woodworkers to repair and build cabinets and furniture for insurance claims and moving-related damage work.

You will oversee cabinet projects from start to finish, operate cabinet shop machinery, and design jigs as needed while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and adhering to company procedures. This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, with paid vacation/PTO and a weekly paycheck.

Qualifications

• Experience building cabinets, face frames, doors and drawers.
• Proficient with cabinet shop machinery and hand/power tools.
• Ability to design jigs and create material lists.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cabinet projects from start to finish.
• Manage all shop processes for cabinet building and repair tasks.
• Maintain a clean shop work space.
• Follow all company filed procedures and protocols.
• Maintain neatly groomed appearance, per employee handbook.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.

Furniture Medic is a small shop environment. We hire skilled fabricators and craftsman to help repair and build cabinets and furniture items associated with insurance claims and moving related damages claims.

Requirements:

• Must have experience building cabinets, face frames, doors and drawers.
• A complete understanding and experience in usage of cabinet shop machinery to include:
• Table Saws
• Sanders
• Planers
• Shapers
• and hand/power tools.
• The ability to design jigs as needed for woodworking machines to do custom door rail designs.
• The ability to create material lists.
