Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Cabin Safety Program Manager to operate the assigned Cabin Training program(s) within the Learning Center. You will ensure training materials meet regulatory requirements and coordinate with multiple FlightSafety personnel to approve training devices and curricula.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.A.) from two-year College or technical school preferred, or three (3) years related experience and or training; equivalency years experience substitution must be in related field.
  • Five (5) years of related experience (Corporate Flight Attendant, preferred).
  • Three (3) to six (6) months of management experience.
  • Experience in FAR Part 91 and or 135, preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) monthsA' experience in a teaching/training environment, especially where the material is designed for adult (over 18 years old) participants, preferred.
  • First Aid, CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that training materials are prepared, maintained and used in accordance with all regulatory requirements by periodically comparing said requirements with day to day activities and any audit inspection results at the Center.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate PM, Automated Flight Deck Training, and appropriate FlightSafety International personnel all matters concerning the approval of Flight Training Devices (FTD) and appropriate training curriculum material, as requested.
  • Monitor ground and training device activities to ensure technical and procedural accuracy.
  • Identify and ensure compliance with specific Customer training requirements.
  • Coordinate and ensure appropriate standards are met for all outside vendor programs utilized in Cabin Attendant Training Programs (CATPs).
  • Maintain Instructor qualifications in accordance with the NOTE on the last page of this job description.
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring training compliance with FlightSafety Internationals Professional Instructor Handbook.
  • Act as Instructor, as needed. (See appropriate Job Descriptions for required qualifications).
  • Provide information and resources to individual instructors in support of the conduct of Customer training.
  • Interact with Director of Training (DOT)/Director of Maintenance Training (DOMT) / Center Manager (CM), Customer Support, and Instructors for scheduling and simulator status.
  • Evaluate, in conjunction with the Director of Standards (DOS), all New Hire Pilot Instructors at the completion of their initial training and qualification phases and certify them as ready to teach the subjects/courses which they are scheduled to instruct.
  • Generate instructor schedules and communicate any schedule changes to instructors, clients, and customer support in a timely manner, as needed.
  • In conjunction with the DOT or DOMT, ensure all Cabin Safety Instructors are fully trained and qualified.
  • Establish and maintain Expanded Instructor Action Guides.
  • Update and modify Lesson Plans, syllabi and teaching aids, as necessary.
  • Interview prospective teammates, evaluate and recommend employment.
  • Provide project direction(s), set priorities and monitor staff achievement.
  • Manage department staffing levels with approval from the Centers DOT/DOMT.
  • Analyze status of all current projections/plans and keep DOT/DOMT informed of any problems or concerns.
  • Direct and or facilitate departmental staff meetings.
  • Complete Performance Appraisal documents (6 month, annual, promotion) and conduct Performance Appraisal conferences with Teammates.
  • Coordinate departmental personnel matters with Teammate Resources.
  • Travel, as required.
  • At the Customers request, conduct on site Commercial and Corporate training programs.
  • Conduct photo shoots for both commercial and corporate aircraft for classroom training, on an as needed basis.
  • Develop, write, and update Commercial and Corporate Cabin Attendant Training Brochures; liaison with FlightSafetys marketing department, as needed.

Education

Associate degree (A.A.) preferred
