Job summary

FlightSafety International in Houston seeks a Program Manager to lead and supervise a team of certified instructors within the assigned program(s), ensuring delivery of training meets client expectations. You will help develop and maintain course materials and assist in certifying training devices as needed.

Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, performance coaching, ensuring compliance with policies, coordinating with DOT/DOMT and account managers, and guiding instructional delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (business or aviation management preferred).
• Three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in aviation/training.
• Current pilot and instructor certificates and ratings necessary to provide training for all aircraft within the assigned program.
• For Maintenance PMs, A&P Mechanic License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily training and checking activities of instructors, including scheduling, leave approvals, and addressing conflicts.
• Provide performance feedback, conduct observations, and manage evaluations.
• Recommend disciplinary actions and coach instructors as needed.
• Assist in salary decisions within budget and policy constraints.
• Coordinate with Scheduling Specialist to plan and assign instructors to events.
• Review staffing and forecast changes to meet customer demands.
• Interview and evaluate instructor candidates for hire.
