Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking an engineer to develop cabin floor components and assemblies, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and supplier partners. You will contribute to strategic projects and drive quality improvements for the DTNA model lineup.

The role emphasizes CAD design of structures and complex assemblies, with responsibilities spanning tooling, manufacturing support, and cross-team coordination. Hybrid work with Portland, OR location available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2–4 years of experience.
Proven execution excellence.
Familiarity with DTNA engineering apps and processes.
Ability to create effective presentations.
CAD experience in structures and assemblies.
Understanding of basic vehicle design principles.
Proficient with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Develop cabin floor components and assemblies to support strategic projects.
Improve quality to meet customer needs and collaborate with internal/external teams.
Support tooling and manufacturing of large stampings; collaborate with supplier partners.
May flex to support exterior lighting, camera integration or mirror development as needed.
Drive design solutions with cross-functional teams across DTNA models.
