Job summary

The Beverly Hills Hotel, part of Dorchester Collection, seeks a Pool Host to deliver premier guest service at the pool deck, maintain a polished environment, and contribute to memorable experiences for our Legends.

You will coordinate cabana bookings, assist with food and beverage service, and work with other hotel teams to uphold luxury standards. The role requires energy, reliability, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

As a Pool Host at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will be $24.21 per hour.

What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests: A day in the life of our Pool Hosts… it demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Pool Hosts accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.

• Our Pool Hosts are responsible for keeping the pool deck orderly, confirming patrons are hotel guests and then seating them, booking Cabana reservations, providing sunshades and umbrellas, bringing/taking towels to the laundry and distributing hourly passed pool amenities during their day. This will include assisting with food and beverage delivery, open/closing and preparing the pool area for guests, set-up and breakdown of cabanas and maintaining the pool area to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
• Sometimes our guests have special requests involving specific amenities, requesting a shaded or sunny area and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Pool Hosts.
• Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Pool Hosts are relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Pool Hosts must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to stand for long periods at a time, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. Ability to carry and balance pool equipment, umbrellas, push carts and lounge chairs in the course of service. Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat (90F+) or cold as well as inclement weather. Due to nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
