Job summary

Altman, Rogers & Co. in Alaska seeks a CAAS Senior to deliver client accounting services and own day-to-day accounting operations for assigned clients.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, complex accounting matters, and opportunities for expanding services and advisory support. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, CPA/CPA track or public accounting exposure preferred, and proficiency in QuickBooks with exposure to Sage Intacct or NetSuite;

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in accounting or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or outsourced services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform client accounting and financial reporting for assigned engagements with proactive communication.
• Support fractional/contract CFO services including budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting.
• Assist in audit preparation and liaise with external auditors and tax preparers.
• Identify and elevate technical issues, engagement risks, and client concerns as appropriate.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Support client onboarding, including systems setup and workflow documentation.
• Participate in internal meetings and continuing education.
• Monitor market trends and opportunities to expand services with existing clients.
• Assist with business development for prospective client engagements.
