Job summary

Elliott Davis invites an experienced CAAS Projects Advisory Manager to lead project-based accounting engagements from Raleigh, NC. You will guide interim or fractional Controller work, cash-to-accrual conversions, and ERP transitions while strengthening client accounting operations.

You will mentor teams, manage multiple engagements, and build trusted relationships with CFOs and business owners, delivering practical solutions and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in CAAS, CAS, or equivalent leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-based accounting and finance engagements including Controller support and ERP/system transitions.
• Serve as trusted advisor to customers during growth, leadership changes, or acquisitions.
• Quickly understand unfamiliar accounting environments and develop practical plans.
• Provide accounting leadership in Controller or similar roles when engagement requires it.
• Balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution and leverage of senior staff.
• Lead 2–5 concurrent engagements and coordinate priorities, resources, timelines and deliverables.
• Develop project scopes, work plans, budgets, staffing plans and status reporting; manage risks.
• Manage engagement economics including profitability and billing.
• Build relationships with CFOs, Controllers and business leaders.
• Mentor and develop seniors and staff through delegation and coaching.
