Job summary

JustClaims in California seeks a senior Public Adjuster to lead claims and appraisals, building a durable local presence through contractor, owner, attorney, and broker relationships. You will leverage JustClaims’ platform and centralized team to drive complex property work and market leadership across the state.

You will rely on your network, deep claims knowledge, and negotiation skills to advance strategy, review policies, and coordinate experts.

Qualifications

• Active California Public Adjuster license is required.
• 5+ years of meaningful property-claims experience; commercial, large-loss, appraisal, or catastrophe experience valued.
• Strong professional network in California with track record of developing business and trusted referrals.
• Strong command of policy language, estimating, documentation, negotiation, and practical realities of resolving property claims.
• Excellent judgment and communication skills with credibility to represent policyholders and JustClaims.
• Comfort with technology and curiosity about how software, AI, data, and better workflow can improve the profession.
• Ability to travel within California for inspections, partner development, and major losses.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow JustClaims’ presence across California, building durable referral, partner, and client relationships.
• Lead commercial and complex property-damage claims and appraisals from strategy through resolution.
• Develop business through your existing network while using our marketing, content, and partnership capabilities to create additional qualified opportunities.
• Build deep relationships with contractors and restoration companies and help them use JustClaims across their insurance-funded work.
• Review policies, scope losses, coordinate experts, develop claim strategy, document files, and negotiate with carriers.
• Represent JustClaims at inspections, partner meetings, industry events, and other high-value market opportunities.
• Bring market insight back to our claims, product, research, marketing, and engineering teams so we keep improving how we work.
