Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed as LVN in California.
• Long-term care experience is required or preferred.
• One year of nursing management experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with PointClickCare charting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
