Job summary

Fugro-Geoteam AS in Southern California is seeking a California-licensed Senior Geologist to lead medium-size site investigations and geo-hazard evaluations, and to manage projects from start to finish.

The role requires a California PG license (CEG preferred), a Bachelor's in engineering or geology, 7+ years of geology experience, strong field and office skills, and travel readiness; the company offers competitive salary, benefits, and hybrid work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or geology from accredited college required; master’s degree highly preferred.
California Professional Geologist (PG) License required, Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) License preferred.
Have 7 years or more of geology, field investigation and project management experience.
Must be able to perform duties in both field and office environments; proficient in software for communication, project management, and technical analysis.
Possess data management, math and statistics skills.
Possess or be able to obtain valid passport; ability to travel extensively both domestic and international; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead by example and manage medium-size projects from technical and commercial perspectives.
Design, implement, and supervise field exploration programs and site characterization studies.
Write technical reports and provide technical review of reports and proposals.
Assign duties to the project team, monitor progress, and ensure accuracy of completed work.
Ensure commitments to clients regarding quality, timeliness, and budget.
Support pursuits of major projects and make presentations to clients and staff.
