Job summary

Career Consulting Partners, on behalf of an established firm with offices across California, seeks a 2–4 year attorney in labor and employment law. You will work with experienced attorneys in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment, handling litigation phases, research, and client matters.

Must be admitted to the California Bar, JD from an accredited school, and 2–4 years of CA labor & employment experience; wage/hour and FEHA preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• California Bar in good standing.
• 2–4 years of CA labor & employment law experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• 1900 billable hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and trial preparation materials.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on a variety of labor and employment law issues.
• Support senior attorneys in fact investigations, witness interviews, and the development of case strategy.
• Prepare responses to administrative charges and complaints before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and DLSE.
• Draft and review employment-related documents, including workplace policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements.
• Participate in client meetings and calls, providing updates and supporting ongoing client communications.
• Monitor changes in labor and employment laws and draft client alerts or updates under supervision.
• Collaborate closely with partners and associates in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities for training and mentorship.
