Job summary

AECOM is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Analyst IV for California State Grants in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of school facility regulations and experience managing the grant application and reporting process from start to finish.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Deep understanding of California state funding programs desirable.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with coding concepts and database structures.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret California State regulations related to school facility funding.
• Identify and evaluate available funding opportunities.
• Prepare and submit accurate grant applications and all related documentation.
• Prepare and/or support preparation of expense reports for auditors.
• Collaborate with internal teams, attorneys, CPAs, and administrative agencies to gather required information.
• Maintain organized records of all grant-related materials.
• Work with IT staff to define data requirements and support grant tracking systems.
• Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.
• Understanding of financial and project management software systems.
• Familiarity with OPSC and CDE online systems.
• Knowledge of eligibility establishment and update.
• Analyze problems and propose solutions related to funding and regulatory requirements.
