Leidos Inc in Huntsville, AL (and Alexandria, VA) seeks a Cyber Security Architect to lead end-to-end security architecture for the CUAS Network Communication System (NCS), protecting MLIDS and FSLIDS in SHORAD missions. Telecommuting may be available.

You will define secure design across encryption, identity/MFA, access control, and secure cloud/remote access patterns while guiding engineering teams and defending the approach to government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Cybersecurity/CS/Engineering or related field and 10+ years in cybersecurity/security architecture.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT/IASAE II/III certification (CISSP, CASP+, etc.).
• Proven experience architecting security for complex networked/tactical systems.
• Expertise in encryption, identity/authentication, access control, and secure cloud/remoteaccess design.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the NCS security architecture, trust boundaries, and systemwide controls.
• Architect encryption, identity/MFA, and RBAC for tactical and DIL environments.
• Design secure cloud integration and zerotrust remote access for tactical data pipelines.
• Lead RMF/ATO strategy, author key artifacts, and coordinate with ISSM/ISSO/AO stakeholders.
• Conduct architecture-level threat modeling and risk assessments; define design-level mitigations.
• Provide security oversight to Agile engineering teams; review sprint deliverables for compliance.
• Represent security during government assessments and TIMs; maintain architecture documentation.
• Mentor cybersecurity engineers and enforce secure-by-design principles.
