Job summary

Ron Marhofer Auto Family in Cuyahoga Falls, OH is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician for our Nissan service team. You will perform routine maintenance and basic repairs to ensure safety and quality across our Northeast Ohio dealership group.

This role builds hands-on skills toward advancement; requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and emissions/inspection certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess valid driver's license and state emissions/inspection certifications.
• Vocational/technical certificate or associate degree in Automotive Technology preferred.
• ASE student certification or completion of a recognized automotive training program is a plus.
• Entry-level position; prior quick-lube, tire shop, or basic maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Must hold Suspension & Steering, Brakes, and Electrical/Electronic Systems (Auto/Light Truck) certifications or ability to obtain quickly.
• Familiarity with multi-point inspections, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer-specific service procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance tasks as outlined in repair orders.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and address issues effectively.
• Complete comprehensive 360-point inspections on vehicles.
• Conduct road tests to ensure repair efficacy and vehicle safety.
• Document all work performed on repair orders accurately.
• Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary components.
• Tag warranty parts appropriately for tracking and accountability.
• Communicate any additional vehicle needs to service advisors promptly.
• Adhere to OSHA and EPA safety standards consistently to maintain a safe work environment.

Job Purpose
