Qualifications

Key Responsibilities & Skill Requirements

A-Level & Master Technician Requirements (Primary Focus):

• A-Level Technician: ASE Certified (multiple areas), complex mechanical & electrical diagnostics, and major component repairs.
• Master Technician: Master ASE / OEM Certified, advanced drivability & electrical diagnostics, and heavy engine/transmission tear-downs.
• Perform high-level vehicle diagnostic and repair work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Mentor and assist junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education

• Associate degree or completion of accredited Automotive Technology program
• Ongoing manufacturer-specific and factory training certifications

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years professional automotive repair experience
• ASE Certification and Manufacturer Certification
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems

Preferred Experience

• Dealership-level experience leading a shop or mentoring technicians
• Advanced diesel engine repair experience
• Multi-brand manufacturer certifications across domestic and import vehicles

Required Skills and Abilities

• Maintain ASE certifications A1-A9 (Engine, Transmission, Drive Train, Suspension, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, Engine Performance, Light Vehicle Diesel Engines)
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Ability to operate manual/automatic vehicles
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
