Job summary

Community First Medical Center in Chicago is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computerized tomography imaging studies and administer contrast media under supervision. You will work with a collaborative team while ensuring quality control and accurate documentation.

The role offers flexible scheduling for 8 or 12-hour shifts. Strong candidates will have relevant education, IEMA license, and a commitment to diverse and inclusive workplace values.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in Cat Scan strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Description

Performs all computerized tomography imaging studies while under the general supervision of a licensed practitioner for the purposes of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders at a technical level not requiring constant supervision and within the scope of their license.

Flexible scheduling for 8 or 12 hr shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs all computerized tomography imaging studies and administration of contrast media.
2. Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician and consults with the radiologists.
3. Performs equipment warm up, calibration and safety check as needed.
4. Responsible for departmental records and proper documentation.
5. Communicates reactions, complications, changes in condition to appropriate staff.
6. Performs staff/student education and orientation duties as needed
