Job summary

terribleherbst is hiring an Assistant Manager Trainee to oversee customer service and C-store operations at our North Las Vegas location. You will drive sales through merchandise, inventory control, and cost management while leading staff and maintaining store standards.

Ideal candidates will be 21+, able to work in a fast-paced environment, proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office, and capable of managing multiple tasks from scheduling to reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate with customers in a busy environment.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 45 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment, maintaining superior standards of operations.
• Control shrink, expenses, and schedule employees per guideline set by management.
• Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, all perishables within selling dates, and the selling floor is adequately stocked with signage.
• Ensure employees comply with policies and are trained, certifications current as required.
• Ensure money handling is conducted per procedures and staff are trained on POS and store equipment to minimize errors.
• Maintain standards to meet or exceed TerribleHerb Operational Excellence Programs.
• Prepare Daily Activity Reports accurately and timely.
• Prepare and complete the daily fuel survey.
• Evaluate and manage employee issues and performances.
• Cover open shifts as designated by the C-Store Manager.
• Travel to other district locations to support staffing needs.
• Be available to work any shift to meet store demands and cover sick calls.
