Job Overview:

C-Store Manager

The C-Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees and assistant managers.

Responsibilities include managing store profits and all controllable expenses such as labor, inventory, and cash and inventory shortages.

  1. Assist in recruiting, recommending for hire, and training team members to ensure excellent customer service.
  2. Motivate, encourage, and challenge store team members.
  3. Promote and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  4. Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to keep the store clean, stocked, organized, and well-maintained.
  5. Ensure merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, correctly priced, and safely displayed.
  6. Supervise and discipline employees according to company policy.
  7. Monitor competitor gasoline prices and report to the corporate office as per management guidelines.
  8. Complete daily paperwork and data entry promptly.
  9. Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily.
  10. Conduct store meetings with employees, at least once a month.
  11. Maintain physical ability to perform all duties of a store team member.
  12. Understand all daily store operation reports.
  13. Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
  14. Implement monthly promotions and ensure POS advertising/signage is properly displayed.
  15. Report pricing issues to the Price Book Administrator.
  16. Enforce merchandising and vendor policies.
  17. Ensure safety and security protocols are followed and report unsafe conditions.
  18. Report and process employee or customer incidents or accidents following company procedures.
