Job summary

Oceaneering International in Austin is offering a paid Summer Engineering Internship within the Software group. The role focuses on software development, algorithm work, and vehicle operation/testing for our autonomous underwater vehicle program.

You will contribute to documentation, testing, and requirements gathering while aligning with a mentor to achieve practical learning outcomes. The internship runs mid May to early August and offers a hybrid work setup with occasional in-office

What you’ll do

This is a paid Summer Engineering Internship Program (mid May to early August). As an intern with our Austin Software group, you’ll work to assist in development of our autonomous underwater vehicle development program doing software development, algorithm development, and vehicle operation/testing. Additional responsibilities may include user documentation, testing and requirements gathering.

Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You’ll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.
