Saronic Technologies invites a Software Engineer Intern to join our team in Austin, TX. You will work on real-world challenges in autonomy, sensor fusion, and real-time processing for autonomous surface vessels.

Ideal candidates are pursuing CS, software or ECE, with hands-on coding in Python, C++, TS/JavaScript or Rust. You’ll gain mentored experience in software development, testing, and HIL validation during a full‑time summer program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, TS/JavaScript, or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software components for autonomous systems, including navigation algorithms, sensor integration, and communication protocols.
• Collaborate to optimize algorithms for real-time decision-making, path planning, and object detection.
• Assist in developing testing frameworks and participate in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing to validate software performance.
• Create technical documentation such as design specs, user manuals, and test plans.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure seamless software-hardware integration.
