NCCO (formerly Dot It) in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Rewind Operator to keep our rewinders up and running and to serve as backup for the shift. You will read job specifications, select the correct cores and rewind method, inspect products for quality, and prepare items for packaging and shipment.

Responsabilidades

• Have full knowledge of all phases of label production
• Select correct cores and rewind method for each job based on job specifications
• Review the job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed
• Inspect products to ensure quality and package products for shipment
• Observe material flow to detect irregular cutting and winding
• Ensure quality of work including color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines
• Remove or replace blades on inspection machines
• Complete paperwork for each job and package finished goods for shipment
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and housekeeping standards

Summary:

The Rewind Operator is responsible for keeping the rewinders up and running. Backup rewind operator. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

• Have full knowledge of all phases of label production
• • Art capabilities
  • Press Capabilities
  • Finishing capabilities
• Receives job assignments from Press Supervisor or Team Lead; reads job specifications and selects correct cores and rewind method for job
• Reviews the job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed.
• Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products
• Observes the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting and winding
• Ensure quality of work includes color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines
• Remove or replace blades on inspection machines
• Completes paperwork for each job and packages finished goods for shipment to the customer.
• Keeps work areas clean, clear, and organized; maintains housekeeping standards
