Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company seeking a production equipment technician at our Columbus, NE location. You will set up, change over, and maintain production equipment to meet quality and output goals, while training operators and leading on-floor teams.

Responsibilities include keeping equipment in good repair, generating maintenance records, performing preventive maintenance, and upholding safety and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associates degree in a mechanical field is preferred.
• Mechanical background and ability to read/write in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform changeovers and set up equipment properly.
• Keep equipment in good repair to meet production/quality standards.
• Generate accurate maintenance records and other required records.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide coverage for absent colleagues.
• Assist operators and lead teams in scheduling, process improvement, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Work safely with chemicals and ensure coworker safety; may work in a clean room per GMP rules.
• Other duties to support business needs.
