Job summary

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The C Operator, LNG ensures the safe and effective operation of the RGLNG facility. The role is responsible for the safe, regulatory compliant, and efficient loading of Condensate into transport trucks at the loading station. Unloading Refrigerant (Propane and Ethane), and liquid Nitrogen. This role involves direct interaction with drivers, verification of load documentation, inspection of loading equipment, and execution of loading procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand and practice RGLNG HSSE standards, Life Saving Rules, and Process Safety Fundamentals.
  • Monitor operational units (utilities, storage, loading) for normal operation, report and correct deviations.
  • Execute field tasks to meet safety and production goals, including operator rounds and operating unit inspections.
  • Conduct pre-load inspections of loading/ unloading bays, bunds, transfer hoses, grounding systems, and safety interlocks.
  • Inspect incoming Road Tankers for general condition and oil/fuel leaks.
  • Guide and assist road tanker drivers through the loading/unloading process area, including verification of paperwork and vehicle readiness.
  • Connect and Disconnect Loading Arms or transfer hoses to complete loading and unloading processes using approved procedures.
  • Support unloading other process chemicals such as Amine and Hot Oil.
  • Monitor loading/unloading operations.
  • Gauge, sample and take temperature readings on and during loading and unloading operations.
  • Know and understand emergency response procedures.
  • Support firefighting, spill containment measures and spill clean up procedures.
  • Support Facility Operations as directed by Field Supervisors.
  • Complete accurate loading documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), safety checklists, and trip logs.
  • Update Field Supervisor on plant issues.
  • Maintain detailed shift logs and communicate with incoming or outgoing Field Operators.
  • Adhere to Emergency Response Team plans.
  • Respond to emergencies and participate in emergency response drills and support site safety and environmental policies.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES

Basic Requirements: High school diploma or GED.

2+ years of field experience in Oil and Gas facilities, gas treatment, compressor stations, petrochemicals, or LNG operations.

Strong safety mindset and familiarity with PPE and ability to read and understand material Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation and hazardous materials protocols.

Must reside in Rio Grande Valley, TX, relocation will not be provided.

Preferred Requirements: Familiarity with Truck Loading and Unloading, utility unit operations and electrical distribution systems.

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, control narratives, Cause & Effect Matrices, Operations Maintenance Manuals (OMMs) and equipment schematics.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and push/pull with up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Required to grip objects with up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Frequent standing, walking, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, handling and spinal twisting.
  • Use of hands, arms and legs to lift.
  • Ability to push and pull machinery and other mechanical components.
Site Working Conditions & Physical Expectations

Work Environment Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions. Operates in a complex construction environment. Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits. Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction. Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios. Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations: Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required. Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations. Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift. The incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities. Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance. Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to clearly communicate with others via radio, phone, and verbal methods. May be required to enter confined spaces. May be required to work at elevated heights and access elevated structures without assistance.
