Position Summary: Class C Lineman is an entry-level position responsible for construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems at various locations. Travel may be required to other states based on customer demands.

Essential Functions

1. Perform safe construction, maintenance, or repair work on energized and de-energized overhead systems.
2. String overhead wire, set poles and anchors.
3. Assist with installing transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
4. Help replace fuses and clear faulted circuits.
5. Work with high voltage systems, requiring caution to ensure safety.
6. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
7. Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

1. 1-2 years of experience.
2. Ability to perform physical labor and identify voltages.
3. Familiarity with induced voltage and transformer hookup.
4. Ability to safely set poles, work at heights, and in confined spaces.
5. Proper PPE use and inspection skills.
6. Ability to climb various structures and tie lineman knots.
7. Understanding of grounding procedures and equipment setup.
8. Ability to travel long distances and work in various locations.
9. Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (preferred).
10. Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work outdoors in weather conditions.
11. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
