Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs with minimal supervision. The role includes diagnosing basic suspension, steering, brakes, TPMS, and battery checks, and completing repair orders accurately.

You will stay current with factory bulletins, participate in training, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while meeting attendance expectations. Flexible opportunities and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Automotive technical school certifications preferred but not required.
• Previous automotive experience as a 'D' level tech required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have basic tools.
• Must pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Perform basic suspension and steering diagnosis and repair, basic brake diagnosis and repair, alignments, tire repair, fluid maintenance exchange, TPMS repairs/replacement, battery check.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Understand and complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know).
• Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools.
• Continuously expand knowledge of new technology to gain additional practice.
