Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks a software design professional to develop, test, and document programs, and to modify systems to meet client needs. You will analyze requirements, design applications, and translate design documents into component-level designs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in software design and SDLC, know programming languages, operating systems, and healthcare/Medicare systems familiarity; you will work independently and in teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of product design and support experience.
• Experience in software design, software development lifecycle, and development methodologies.
• Analytical, problem-solving, creative thinking, and design skills.
• Experience with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware, and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, implement, and document programs.
• Assist in modifying systems and applications to meet client requirements.
• Analyze program and system requirements and prepare supporting documentation.
• Design applications and application suites to satisfy customer specifications.
• Translate complex design documents into component-level designs.
• Develop strategies, design approaches, and test plans for application solutions.
• Apply client and 3rd-party technologies in software solutions.
• Resolve production support issues and suggest alternative approaches.
• Develop and execute regression testing strategies.
• Create, maintain, and update technical documentation such as design and testing documents.
• Conduct quality assurance activities including peer reviews.
• Remain current with technical trends, development methodologies, and industry standards.
