Qualifications

• Strong C++ focus with professional software experience.
• Deep backend engineering fundamentals: systems programming, concurrency, performance.
• Interest in autonomy, robotics, or physical AI and how code hooks to machines.
• Familiarity with multi-domain defense systems or eagerness to develop in that area.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance backend systems in C++ for defense autonomy products.
• Tackle autonomy challenges across multi-domain environments including unmanned platforms.
• Build scalable, reliable infrastructure for operation in contested conditions.
• Collaborate with researchers, product teams, and defense customers to translate mission requirements.
• Own end-to-end execution from architecture through deployment.
• Contribute to Ann Arbor site buildout, culture, and engineering practices.
• Interface with DOD programs to ensure real-world operational alignment.
