Job summary

NOVA Technologies in Dyess AFB, TX seeks a Simulator Technician I to maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and document training-device systems. You will perform routine technical work using established procedures and data while building proficiency across device subsystems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years related experience may substitute for a technical college degree.
• Ability to use manuals, diagrams, electrical schematics, test equipment, and procedures to troubleshoot.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 40 lbs and climbing into simulators/aircraft cockpits.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
• Associate's degree or technical education in electronics/avionics/simulation/information systems.
• Experience with EDMS or similar maintenance/inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, operate, and support training devices for students and instructors.
• Troubleshoot routine initialization, electronics, and equipment issues using manuals and data.
• Perform preventive maintenance, readiness testing, and basic simulator modifications.
• Document maintenance and repairs in EDMS with work orders and status updates.
• Support inventory by receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking parts.
• Provide basic networking support on training devices and networks.
• Follow safety and program procedures while developing device proficiency.
