Job summary

NOVA Technologies seeks a skilled Simulator Technician I to support C-130J MATS training devices at Dyess AFB. You will perform setup, readiness testing, and routine maintenance while documenting actions in EDMS and ensuring equipment readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of related experience or technical training, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. DoD Secret clearance eligibility and Security+ certification are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years related experience may substitute for a technical college degree.
• Ability to use technical manuals, diagrams, electrical schematics, test equipment, and maintenance procedures to perform routine technical work and troubleshoot problems.
• Must meet physical requirements: lift 40 pounds, access simulator/aircraft cockpit areas, and move around training devices.
• Security+ certification and DoD Secret clearance eligibility/ability.
• Experience with EDMS or comparable maintenance and inventory-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, operate, and support C-130J MATS training devices for student and instructor use, including setup, readiness testing, initialization, DMO activities, and mission support.
• Troubleshoot routine initialization, operational, electronic-circuit, and equipment issues using manuals, data, wiring diagrams, and test equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system readiness testing, pre- and post-operational checkouts, basic simulator mods, and parts replacement under procedures.
• Document maintenance and repair activity in EDMS, including work orders, repair actions, equipment status, off-site repairs, and calibration requirements.
• Support inventory accountability by receiving, storing, issuing, marking, packaging, shipping, inspecting, and tracking parts and equipment.
• Provide basic networking/information-systems support on training devices and networks and communicate via phone, intercom, and radio channels.
