Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer II to provide engineering and logistics support to the PMA-207 Tactical Airlift Program Office, focusing on C-130 systems engineering and related acquisition programs. The role supports the C-130 APME and APML, working with USMC, USN, and FMS customers.

The candidate will analyze program management and product support requirements, track Fleet needs, and participate in joint reviews to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree may substitute for five years of experience.
• 5–12 years combined experience in C-130 fleet operations and aeronautical weapon systems acquisition programs; defense acquisition management experience within last five years.
• Work hours may be fluid to meet customer/operational requirements; tele-commuting is possible.
• Desirable: proficiency with MS Office Suite and strong written/oral communication; ability to develop and maintain integrated team networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and logistics support to the PMA-207 Tactical Airlift Program Office.
• Support duties as the C-130 Systems Engineer to the C-130 APME and C-130 APML.
• Provide expert analysis on future, current, and historical engineering and logistics efforts for the C-130 platform for USMC, USN, and FMS customers.
• Identify and support C-130 Fleet requirements within production and sustainment environments.
• Monitor, track, and report requirement trends and anomalies; recommend improvements to business processes.
• Analyze business processes and integration efforts within all data sources in the C-130 community.
• Participate in Joint meetings with Service members/engineers/logisticians for data analysis and reporting of C-130 sustainment requirements.
