Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking a Buying Clerk to support Corporate Buyers in merchandising, selection, development, sales analysis, and vendor management. The role focuses on processing purchase orders, verifying pricing, updating weights, and coordinating with suppliers under the direction of the Buyer.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree or a relevant combination of education and experience, strong communication skills, and solid computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years in a similar role.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Receive purchase orders from various buying departments.
• Confirm pricing with suppliers and adjust as needed.
• Correct pricing and weights on purchase orders.
• Change delivery dates as instructed and release POs.
• Fax purchase orders to suppliers and track status.
• Assist with price comparisons across suppliers and deliveries.
• Complete paperwork for recalls and maintain required spreadsheets.
• Support other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
